ImaginAb is a precision medicine company based in Los Angeles, California with technology originating from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Beckman Institute (City of Hope, Duarte CA). Our mission is to transform the clinical management of cancer and autoimmune diseases via targeted molecular imaging. We re-engineer therapeutic antibodies against biologically important targets into small proteins optimized for diagnostic imaging with Positron Emission Tomography (PET). We believe that in the era of targeted molecular therapy, there is a major unmet need for true companion in vivo diagnostics to help realize the patient benefits of molecular medicine.
The company is a revenue-stage company and has an extensive pharma client base in addition to internal product development for pancreatic, ovarian and prostate cancer and Crohn’s disease. In March of 2012, the company raised $12.5m in growth capital financing led by Novartis Venture Funds and has received ~$3m in SBIR funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
